During this time of rebuilding, we are working to make TYLENOL® Extra Strength Caplets and TYLENOL® Regular Strength Tablets available more consistently in stores. Why are there supply disruptions with McNeil over-the-counter products?
A number of McNeil products have been either unavailable or in short supply due to the suspension of operations at our Fort Washington, PA plant, and the changes to our other operations as we work to deliver operational milestones associated with an FDA Consent Decree.

Are there any safety issues with the products?
The supply disruptions are not related to any known safety concerns. We test the safety and efficacy of our products before they are shipped to store shelves and, as part of our Consent Decree agreement with the FDA, a third-party is also involved in the product review before it is released. Additionally, McNeil monitors all of its products throughout the product lifecycle and we take all necessary steps to ensure quality and safety.

Which products are still available?
We expect consistent supply of the following McNeil products: TYLENOL® Extra Strength Caplets; TYLENOL® Regular Strength Tablets; ZYRTEC® Adult; TYLENOL® Sinus; TYLENOL® Cold; SUDAFED®; SUDAFED PE® ; Children’s TYLENOL®; Children’s MOTRIN®; Children’s BENADRYL®; Children’s SUDAFED®; MOTRIN®; MOTRIN® PM; PEPCID® AC®; IMODIUM® Liquids and MYLANTA® Gas Products. A number of other products continue to be available but may experience supply disruptions as we continue to evaluate manufacturing alternatives for these and other products.

When do you expect the supply issues to be resolved?
Unfortunately, we expect supply uncertainty for some products to continue throughout 2013. We understand that the limited availability of products creates an inconvenience for the people who trust our products and rely on them.
